~Children’s Spirituality: in the Children’s Room during worship. Come join this group for some fun, scripture, music and art!  

 

~Afterglow: Bill will be showing excerpts of the documentary, "Faithful Defiance, A Portrait of Desmond Tutu" in connection with the Martin Luther King holiday.

 

~Talking Tree extended Afterglows scheduled for January on the 22nd and 29th. All are welcome to join in authentic Conversation from 11:30 to 1…bring lunch if you like.

 

~Statements: Your end of year giving statements will be distributed today and next Sunday following worship.   Any remaining will then be mailed out. Please look over your statement carefully.

 

~Need some help with a project? Gifts and Callings has a data base which can be accessed to find someone with a particular gift. If you’re looking for someone to help with hospitality or counseling…suggestions are there. You can identify folks with gifts of administration, counseling, giving, helping, hospitality, mercy, encouragement, evangelism, faith, knowledge, leadership, pastoring, teaching, wisdom, prayer, discernment, intercession and prophecy. To take the Spiritual Gifts Inventory and discover your top three gifts, please speak with Jane Parry. See John Mosher if you want to access the data base.

 

~Taizé: a service of candlelight, readings, meditative silence and sung prayer; held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 7PM in the Lounge.

 

~ Grandmothers and Elder Women: this life circle will be

meeting toward the end of January. Meetings are held alternating Sundays from 2-4 in the Living Room. FMI:  Debbie Leighton, 422-7260 or Marti Collins, 350-9954.

 

~Good Sam:  Your prayers and financial gifts are always welcome as this Team provides what help it can for our neighbors in need. Through them we reach out with faith and love. Thank you.

 

~Neighborhood Café: 5:30 – 7 Tuesdays, delicious food, entertainment, opportunities to serve.

 

~Chrysalis Dance: Revive, renew and rejuvenate! Chrysalis Dance Circle will begin another season of expressive movement, meeting in our winter home of Fellowship Hall, on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month, starting Jan. 26th, from 6-7:30 p.m. Bring a yoga mat or two, if you can, and some music, poetry, and/or a reading to share, or just your wonderful self! Let’s brainstorm and body-storm a new form of Chrysalis for this new year. Talk with or contact Tree: dancingpoet.tree@gmail.com

 

~Labyrinth Walk: January 19th, 6:30-8 with Susanna Liller and Lori LeBlanc, Tibetan Singing Bowls performer. This walk will be held at the First Parish Church in Brunswick on the second floor of their Fellowship Hall on Cleveland St. Call Susanna 443-2847 FMI.

 

~Bible Journaling at Café Crème, 9:30 – 11 AM Tuesdays.

This is a simple process of reading the week’s key scriptures.
This week Luke 9:57-62.
~Centering Prayer in the Lounge, 11 – 11:30 Tuesday, 8 - 8:30 Thursday and Friday.

~Worship Lab Wednesday, 10-11:30 in the Lounge/Library: All are welcome to explore the scriptures and develop creative ideas for engaging all the senses in Sunday worship.

 

~Bible Study, Wednesday 12-1 in the Lounge/Library (often 1:30, but you can leave at 1)
